Snow, snow, and more snow!

Welcome back to school, Pearson families! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday break with friends and family, and are getting back into your usual routines now that school is back in session.

This week and last week's book themes have been snow - something that proved to be VERY appropriate with the weather we have been facing over the past few weeks. While we all struggle to scrape the ice off of our cars and shovel the driveway AGAIN, our kids look at the snow and ice outside their windows and see FUN. Fortunately, the teaching team at Pearson Community Co-op Nursery School has found a way to bring the snow indoors, using it as part of sensory activities in the classroom. Awesome!

This week's book is called 'Snowmen at Night' and is popular among children and parents alike. While we are all sleeping, what are the snowmen doing? Playing, of course! This whimsical tale will spark your child's imagination and maybe inspire a few snow creations in your backyard.

All the best for a great week - stay warm, and check back soon!
